Welcome to the Math League Team

Math League identifies students who have unusual mathematical ability, students who enjoy math, and strive to bring those students together to study topics of commonly taught in the high school curriculum.

LNHS competes in the Canterbury Division of the MN Math League.  Students in each league compete for the highest scores, while schools compete for the highest team score.  These contests consist of five meets each year, with four individual events and one team event per meet.  Problems draw from a wide range of high school topics?  geometry, algebra trigonometry, logarithms, series, sequences, exponents, roots, integers, real numbers, combinations, probability, coordinate, geometry, and more.

Team competition runs from November through February with a state meet at the end of March. Both individual and team points are accumulated with awards going to the winners.
