LNHS Athletic Trainer Coverage

An athletic trainer will be present at the following varsity events:

  • Football
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Hockey
  • Gymnastics
  • Wrestling
  • Lakeliners
  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Lacrosse
  • Track & Field

An athletic trainer will be on-site (at LNHS) for most lower level events and accessible for emergencies and injury evaluations as needed. 

An athletic trainer will be at (or "on-site" for) all lower level games (9, 10, or JV) except softball and baseball.

An athletic trainer will travel with varsity football only and will attempt to travel with all other varsity sports for any post-season games as the schedule allows. 

Heather Bartz, MAT, LAT, ATC

Certified Athletic Trainer

Heather is BOC certified and licensed athletic trainer in Minnesota. She started working at Lakeville North in August 2018 and Summit Orthopedics in 2021. She grew up in White Bear Lake.

Jess is a BOC certified and licensed athletic trainer in Minnesota. She started working for Summit Orthopedics in the summer of 2022 and will be splitting her time between Lakeville North and Lakeville South this school year. She grew up in Prior Lake.

Orthopedic Urgent Care

Summit's orthopedic urgent care is open daily, for when you need us right away. Our bone and joint injury clinics provide walk-in access to specialized care for concerns such as sports injuries, sprains, strains, and joint pain.
