Athletic Training Room

The Institute for Athletic Medicine (IAM)

The Institute for Athletic Medicine (IAM) provides certified athletic trainers to Twin Cities metro area schools and for sporting events. In addition, IAM has provided athletic training services for the Women's World Hockey Championships, National Jr. Olympic Boys Gymnastic Competition, and exclusively for the Minnesota State High School League Championships.  Our athletic trainers have expertise and training in prevention, treatment and reconditioning athletic injuries.  We cover include football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, gymnastics and wrestling, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and track.

Physical Therapy at IAM

Physical Therapy services are provided by the Institute for Athletic Medicine and are located in many different locations within 15 minutes of Lakeville North High School. Below are three of our locations.

Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care

Sports Medicine physician services are provided by Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care in Burnsville. 

Paul Eberts is a BOC certified Athletic Trainer and has been working at Lakeville North HS since August of 2016.  Before working at LNHS he graduated from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie MI with a bachelors in Athletic Training.  From there he worked in the physical therapy clinic in Sault Ste. Marie before he came to MN to be a casual AT through the Institute for Athletic Medicine.  He performed this role from Sept 2015 through Aug 2016 when he got the position at LNHS.

Dr. Jason Lee is a board certified fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist and has been the Team Physician for Lakeville North High School since 2013.  He currently serves as a Team Physician for USA hockey, Minnesota State High School League, Schwan’s USA Cup, Twin Cities Marathon, etc.  He previously served as a Team Physician at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Chicago Marathon, etc.

Dr. Lee completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and completed his sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Michigan.  

He currently resides in Lakeville with his wife, Nicki, and three children, Hannah, Brenna, and Alex.
