The Lakeville North football program will have eight players moving on to play college football next season. Head Coach Brian Vossen takes a lot of pride seeing these young men have a chance to play football at the next level.

"These kids are like my sons," Vossen told KSTP. "They all have worked very hard to get to this point, I'm proud of each and every one of them. I hope they accomplish everything they want in this new venture in their lives."

Boyd Draeger will attend the University of Wyoming and play on the offensive line, while the rest of the players were recruited to play defense.

Linebacker Jesse Cardenas signed to play at the University of Northern Iowa. His twin brother, Jordan, also a linebacker, will play at Augustana University.

Defensive end Carl Engwall with move up north and play for the University of North Dakota. Linebacker Connor Melz signed with Southwest Minnesota State University. Linebacker Dakota Toedter will play at Northern State University. Defensive back Stu Hamann will stay a little closer to home and play for St. Cloud State University.
