Tryout information

Potential New Member Tryout To-Do:

1) Sports Physicals:  In order to be eligible for Dance Tryouts, you will need to have a valid sports physical on file. Please check that you have an up to date physical on file. If not, get this done ASAP.

Sports physicals can be dropped off in the mail depository by the administration office, emailed to lisa.krohnberg@isd194.org or faxed to 952-469-7945

2) Register for Fall Dance:  Link: Lakeville Area Schools,  click on LNHS Athletics  (not Activities and Clubs).  The title of the registration is Dance Tryouts (for Fall & Winter 24-25 Dance). There is no fee associated with this tryout. If you are trying out for both Fall & Winter- you only have to sign up once for tryouts through the school.

 Deadline for above steps: 4/10

3) In-person tryouts on April 16th & 17th from 3-5pm in Dance Studio:

 Fill out this Tryout Registration Form for the coaches (all returning members must fill this out and also participate in the in-person tryout on April 16th and 17th). 

**Please come in dance attire, jazz shoes, and hair pulled back. Also bring a water bottle.  A choreography video will be uploaded to website for review before the 4/16 tryout. Notification will be sent once video is available. 

4) Once the team has been announced there will be a Parent/Dancer Mandatory Meeting on 4/23 in the Lecture Hall @ 6:30pm. At this meeting the booster will be discussing what to expect for upcoming season, gear try on, and answer any questions you may have. 

5) If you are going to be a senior and are interested in being a captain. Please fill out this Captain Application. Instructions for captain tryout are listed on the application. 

PARENT INFO: 

If your dancer is a part of the 2024 Fall Dance season, we will have a parent & dancer meeting Tuesday, April 23th @ 6:30pm. We will quickly review expectations and the steps for getting prepared for the upcoming season. All parents/dancers (new and returning) are expected to join this meeting. Booster fees will be discussed and an opportunity for team gear fitting.

The first video is shown with counts, and are tricks marked.  Make sure when you are practicing, all leaps, jumps, toe touches and kicks are done to the best of your ability.  The next video will show the routine with music.
