Fundraising Frequently Asked Questions

General Fundraising FAQ

How long do I have to reach my fundraising goals?

For the 2023 soccer season, you can fundraise from October 16, 2022 through October 15, 2023 using Shop with Scrip.  Coupon Card sales occur in August and September.

Keep in mind that on October 16, 2023, you can continue ordering through Shop with Scrip and have an entire year to fundraise toward the 2024 Season.

How do I know when I’ve reached my fundraising goals?

The Booster Club Treasurer will provide you with and end-of-season update.  Additionally, if you would like to track your own fundraising progress take the total dollars raised from the following:

-  Coupon Card Sales: Total cards sold X $17.50

-  Shop with Scrip: Sign into your account on shopwithscrip.com and navigate to the Dashboard. From there, click on Reports near the bottom of the page, and run the ‘Family Order Rebate Summary Report’ for October 16, 2022 – October 15, 2023 (or current date, whichever is earlier).

If I have raised more than the necessary fundraising goals, can I carry over the extra dollars to meet next year’s goal?

No. There is no carry-over. Each year, on October 16, your fundraising balance will go back to $0 for the following year. However, every dollar you raise will support our soccer program.

How do I settle up for any shortfall amount to meet my fundraising commitment?

At the end of October, our Booster Treasurer will be contacting you to share the amount of fundraising dollars raised, and any shortfall. At that time, there will be a request that a check be provided to the Booster Club - on or before the day of the year-end banquet - to cover any shortfalls.

Shop with Scrip FAQ

Who do I contact if I have questions about Shop with Scrip?

Please contact our Shop with Scrip Coordinator to help get set up and answer any questions about orders or how the program works.

How does the Scrip business model work?

Merchants sell gift cards to a scrip vendor at a discount and the vendor passes on a portion of the discount to the non-profit organization – in this case, LNHS Boys Soccer – in the form of a commission/rebate. Merchants participate to build loyalty, drive incremental sales, and support non-profits.  The families purchasing the gift cards receive full face value of the card while LNHS Boys Soccer receives the rebate.

Why do I need to sign up for PrestoPay? Why can’t I pay by credit card or check?

Credit cards are not accepted because there is a fee to accept credit cards, which eats into the rebate amount.  Checks are not accepted because it would require the Scrip Coordinator to collect checks, deposit checks and then wait until every check clears before releasing orders, which delays receipt for everybody.

PrestoPay is really slick. It is similar to setting up your electric bill to be withdrawn from your checking account each month.  It helps everything run smoothly and allows you to order RaiseRight at any time and receive your e-certificate emailed to you, and loaded into your account, within minutes!  You can be sitting at Applebee’s, get your check, order RaiseRight through the app and you’ve just earned another rebate toward your fundraising goal.  Or you can be in line at Cub Foods and reload your Cub gift card and earn another rebate.

What is the difference between Reload and ReloadNow?

Reload allows you to reload your gift card instantly, for immediate use. ReloadNow means that if you reload by 2:30pm, your card will be available for use on the following business day. When you go to Reload a gift card, the site will advise which Reload product is supported.  Note that you cannot purchase a gift card direct from a merchant, or at Cub Foods, for example, and earn rebates for reloading it. You can only reload cards that were initially ordered through the Shop with Scrip program.

How do I know which merchants accept RaiseRight and Reload/ReloadNow?

One easy way is to use your smart phone and the RaiseRight app, which shows all available merchants for RaiseRight and Reload. Another option is to visit shopwithscrip.com and hover over the logo for the merchants you are interested in and it will show you which products are available (gift card, RaiseRight, Reload).

When can I place my scrip orders?

If you are using RaiseRight or Reloading a gift card already purchased through the program, you can order 24/7.

If you are ordering plastic gift cards, you can place your order at any time (and pay for your gift cards at time of order), but in order to consolidate orders and pay only one FedEx shipping fee, orders are generally released on the 1st of the month at 10:00 pm.  Sometimes, that timing shifts, depending on holidays, etc. and at times an extra ordering date is added.  Our Shop with Scrip Coordinator will notify all scrip participants of the order dates so you don’t have to worry about missing it.

How long does it take to get my plastic gift cards?

Gift cards are received within 3-5 days of the order release date. You will receive an email from our Shop with Scrip Coordinator notifying you the orders are in, and arranging for pick-up.
